The subject matter of "In the Bu With My Boo," another work from the Coconut Radio series, was meant to be about the beauty and honesty of peace. Created during the pandemic, this work represents the very first moments of peace that we were able to experience after many months of daring to leave our studio. It was a visit to the home of close friends in Malibu, which I learned shortly after moving to the West Coast was sometimes called "the Bu." Before I moved to the West when I had studios in New York and Baltimore, I learned that the word "Boo" was often a term of endearment. The larger figure of Charlie Brown is a loving portrait of my best friend and wife Jennifer, as well as all of the special loved ones in our lives. The headdress, represents a wreath of peace, and is constructed of many flowers from several of Sparky's strips. of course, the Embraced character of Snoopy is a self-portrait. Tom Everhart 2022 -

This work embodies all the best of Ted’s musically exaggerated imagination and is an early hallmark that set the stage for an elaborate history of made-up vehicles, machines, and instruments.

On a visit to fantastic Rio in 1985, the artist discovered a beautiful and exotic golf course in an extraordinary setting at the foot of the Great Gavia Rock. Gavia is as loved by the Cariocas as Pao de Acuar (Sugerloaf) or the Corcovado (Christ statue) atop Hunchback Mountain. The neatly clipped links are carved out of a verdant profusion of tropical growth. And the towering majesty of Gavi dominates the scene, piercing the sky above the players on the green. Neiman decided to balance the composition by selecting four internationally acclaimed stars for the foreground. From left to right: Nick Faldo of Great Britan (this course was originally built by English residents who still proudly maintain the club), Spain’s Seve Ballesteros (silently urging the ball toward the cup), Gerhard Langer from Germany (carefully following Ballesteros’ putt), and Australian Greg Norman for “Down-Under” (tall, handsome and ramrod straight). The Carioca caddies in their traditional white overalls and sandals look on respectfully. The weather is ideal, the course tranquil and uncrowded. No tournament gallery interrupts the stillness. The artist has carefully crafted an image without extraneous subjects. We are left with the indelible impression he intended- great golf and the serenity of great Gavia.
